Weighing your dog- We will get a weight on your dog at every visit. The most effective way to quickly get an accurate weight on your dog at their exam on our scale, is for you to use treats as positive reinforcement to get your dog on and stay on the scale.

If your dog is dog reactive, please let us know so we can make special arrangements for your visit.

Dog reactive flow- When you arrive please leave your dog in the car, come inside and check-in with the receptionist-> We will personally escort you and your dog through our side entrance directly into your exam room-> When you are ready to check out, please leave your dog in the exam room and proceed to the reception desk for check-out->Collect your dog and exit our side entrance.

If there is anything else we can do to make your pet's visit as stress free as possible, please let us know.

Once a year, you should take your pet in for a check-up. This will include a full physical exam, and may include teeth and gum cleaning if needed. Our veterinarians will check the health of your pet from head to tail, and you will be very happy you came to Redmond-Kirkland Animal Hospital for service.

Bring in any medical history you have of your pet when you come to our vet hospital. It's best to keep a journal of your pet's health throughout his or her life, including behavioral shifts. If you have something like this, share it with our team. If not, let us know everything that you think will be important. Our veterinary team can still work with whatever information you have.

In some circumstances, our veterinarians will refer you to a specialist who has advanced expertise in areas such as internal medicine or surgery.

Before Your First Visit

Please gather any previous medical or adoption records you may have for your pet. Our veterinarian needs this information to get an accurate record of your pet’s medical history and to create the best treatment plan for your pet. We look forward to meeting you and your pet!
